Before Approval
Lantern does not treat partner trust as a checkbox.
Organisations can express interest publicly, but this page describes the intended validation and approval pathway rather than a fully live onboarding service.
Where onboarding proceeds in future, organisations would only become operational inside Lantern after evidence, review, and deliberate activation.
This helps protect survivors, protects partner organisations from unsafe assumptions, and keeps the operational network grounded in accountable records.
Step 1
What This Page Is For
This page explains the documentation, checks, and staged review process Lantern expects before an organisation can ever become an operational partner.
Submitting an interest form does not create a live organisation account, does not approve a partner automatically, and does not allow an organisation to receive survivor-facing allocations.
Lantern does not allocate survivors to unverified or unapproved partners.
Step 2
The Path Into Lantern
The process begins with a public expression of interest from an organisation that believes its work aligns with Lantern.
If that interest appears suitable, Lantern follows up, opens an internal onboarding record, and starts a document-led validation flow before any operational access is granted.
- Public expression of interest
- Lantern follow-up and fit screening
- Evidence and document collection
- Internal validation and compliance review
- Approval decision and controlled activation
- Invite-only onboarding for named partner agents
Step 3
Core Organisational Evidence
Lantern expects every prospective partner to show that it exists lawfully, has real accountable leadership, and can be contacted through stable operational details.
- Registration or lawful-existence proof for the organisation type
- Founding document, constitution, trust deed, or MOI as applicable
- Office-bearer or director identity details where applicable
- Proof of physical operating address
- Primary organisational contact details
Step 4
Privacy and Information Handling
Because Lantern deals with sensitive support pathways, privacy readiness matters before operational activation.
- Privacy or confidentiality policy
- Information Officer registration proof where required
- Clarity on how sensitive records are stored, shared, and restricted
Step 5
Service-Specific Safeguards
Some organisations will need to provide additional evidence depending on the nature of the services they offer and the populations they serve.
- Professional registration proof for regulated services
- Safeguarding or child-protection policy where children are served
- Service footprint, supported regions, and operating hours
- Emergency and after-hours contact pathways where relevant
Step 6
Review And Approval
Lantern validation is reviewer-based, not self-declared. An organisation can move through draft, submission, evidence requests, review, approval, rejection, or expiry states.
Operational activation only happens after approval. Even then, partner access remains controlled and auditable.
- Submitted evidence can be returned for clarification or missing items
- Approval decisions are recorded with reviewer accountability
- Approved partners may still be suspended or revalidated later
Step 7
What Happens After Approval
Once an organisation is approved and activated, Lantern can invite named partner agents into the platform through controlled email invitations.
Agents are not expected to self-register publicly or attach themselves to an organisation without approval.
Invite-only onboarding helps protect against impersonation and unsafe self-linking.
